About KHRS

Greetings

Dear members of the Korean Heart Rhythm Society,

KHRS began as the Heart Rhythm Research Society under the Korean Society of Cardiology in 1997 and became the Korean Heart Rhythm Society in 2017. Thanks to the dedication of the members and past executives, KHRS has grown into an academic society with over 1,900 members as of January 2025.

Inheriting this tradition, as the president of KHRS, I will run the society by focusing on the following efforts.

  1. 1
We will support arrhythmia researchers to conduct more creative research. In particular, we plan to help with innovative research, multidisciplinary, multicenter research, and randomized controlled studies.
  2. 2
We will expand the extent and depth of the annual scientific session. We will create a database of domestic and foreign researchers for sessions with the most suitable speakers.
  3. 3
We will reinforce the field of international exchange by consistently interacting with APHRS, EHRA, HRS and the Heart Rhythm societies of other countries.
  4. 4
By facilitating communication with the government, we will strive to improve problems with standards for recognition of medical care benefit, resolve regulations related to the introduction of new medical technologies, and include electrocardiograms in national checkups.
  5. 5
We will hold various types of meetings to educate members and share information.
  6. 6
Following the digital era, we plan to actively support and utilize artificial intelligence, digital health, and social media for research activities, academic events, and scientific sessions promotion.
  7. 7
We will promote public awareness of arrhythmia.

I and executive members will strive to achieve the above goals so that KHRS can develop into the better society.

Thank you.
